A short audio-visual art piece called Motorway produced to accompany a collaborative art installation project as part of Manchester based art collective Potentialism.
Motorway is a short audio-visual single screen stereo installation piece exploring perception of time, movement and journeys. Central themes within the work relate to the repetition of journeys and pathways and how over time these experiences meld into one, becoming inseparable from one another in the memory.
Sound and visual material was processed and manipulated in an attempt to convey this vagueness of memory and explores the unreliability of looking back to previous experiences, especially in terms of day-to-day activities.
Deft Ear conceptualised and created all sound and visual material implemented within the Motorway audio-visual piece.
